Condolence Message from His Royal Majesty, Oba Oluwatimileyin Oluyemi Ajayi, the Olojudo of Ido-Ayegunle, Obokun Local Government Area, Osun State

My heart is deeply burdened as I address you, the good people of Ido-Ayegunle, over the recent unprovoked and heinous attack allegedly carried out by individuals from Esa-Oke, under the leadership of the Owamira of Esa-Oke. This tragic incident, which led to the untimely and brutal death of four of our beloved sons, has brought grief, pain, and a deep sense of loss to our community.
As your King and father, I am pained beyond words. These were innocent lives, full of promise, cut short by violence that has no place in our society. This is not just an attack on Ido-Ayegunle, but an affront to peace, to justice, and to the brotherhood we have long fostered across communities in Obokun Local Government and Osun State as a whole.
I strongly condemn this act in the most unequivocal terms. Let me assure every son and daughter of Ido-Ayegunle that I will not rest until justice is served. I have taken immediate and formal steps by petitioning the Inspector General of Police and other relevant security and governmental agencies to ensure that this matter is investigated thoroughly and the perpetrators brought to book.
We will not be intimidated, and we will not allow violence to define our community. I have also called upon both the State and Federal Governments, along with all security agencies, to take urgent and decisive steps to restore and guarantee lasting peace and tranquility in Ido-Ayegunle and its environs.
Let us, in our grief, not succumb to anger or vengeance. Instead, let us remain united, vigilant, and law-abiding. We will continue to promote harmony and peaceful coexistence with all people of Osun State, but never at the cost of justice, dignity, and the sanctity of life.
May the Almighty comfort the bereaved families, grant eternal rest to the departed souls, and preserve the peace and unity of Ido-Ayegunle.
Long Live Ido-Ayegunle.
Long Live Osun State.
Long Live the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Signed,
His Royal Majesty, Oba Oluwatimileyin Oluyemi Ajayi
The Olojudo of Ido-Ayegunle
